After the wonderful sabbatical year with lots of cycling … (AMR, TBR, GranGuanche, BTG) I have to slowly think about „kicking the habit“, in September the serious side of life starts again … Kick the habit? That’s why I want to ride the Bike Haderburg event in mid-September … The destination, the Haderburg, on a rock high above Salurn is promising.
Profuminviaggio (Giorgio Murari and Stefania Segna), in collaboration with the municipality of Salurn and the cycling group Ciclisti per Caso, are organising this first edition of the Bike Haderburg.
2024:
The start is on Saturday 18./ 19.05.2024, the finish is on Sunday evening. The 450 km will take 40 hours to complete. This year you can also cycle 100 or 200 kilometres.
The beautiful route leads through the nature between Italy and Austria; Etschtal, Brenner, Silltal, Inntal, Kaunertal, Vinschgau.
The ideal bike? A gravel bike with Slick 35 tyres or a road bike with somewhat „more generous“ tyres.
The highlight after the effort will probably be the final pasta party at Haderburg Castle; the spectacularly located castle is open exclusively for this event.
If anyone wants to come along, hurry, there are only a hundred places!
